within the medical center.The CN V, Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner delivers comprehensive family
centered health care with some clinical
responsibilities previously assumed by physicians,
under the supervision of an attending
neonatologist. The nurse practitioner performs
case management for a select group of neonates
using the nursing model of assessment, planning,
teaching, and evaluation. The nurse practitioner
functions as an associate of staff physicians in
the delivery of care to high risk neonates and
