where the faculty, nurse practitioners and fellows
in the within the heart and vascular center treat
a variety of patients requiring ongoing management
of heart failure, pulmonary hypertension,
arrhythmia and cardiovascular disease. This HVCNC
is responsible for assisting the faculty, nurse
practitioners and fellows, in the clinical care of
patients throughout their medical treatment
course.The nurse will also be responsible for
coordinating clinical office workflow for patient
care management. These duties include, but are not
limited to setting up appointments, obtaining and
monitoring lab results, contacting patients to
discuss clinical concerns, helping to obtain and
track authorizations for medical therapies,
escalating critical findings and patient
education.This position is part time, Monday-
Friday, no nights, weekends or holidays.The HVCNC
utilizes the nursing processes for assessment,
planning, implementation, evaluation to provide
safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of
the interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carries
out established nursing procedures and performs
related duties as required performs nursing care
for the patients with more complex needs with
assistance and supervision. Assists with the
management of patient care administered by other
members of the nurse practitioner and physician
