High school diploma or equivalent required.  Current Coding Certification through AHIMA, AAPC, or other official coding organization required.  Minimum of two years coding experience or completion of a formal coder training program.  Knowledge of ICD 9 and HCC codes preferred.  Excellent computer skills using Windows based programs.  Driving required, current California drivers license and proof of auto insurance.
