<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Req ID 173723BRIndustry Job Title Rebuild/Overhaul MechanicStandard Job Code/Title RP5773:Rebuild/Overhaul MechanicRequired skills NASpecific Job Description PERFORMS SUCH TYPICAL DISTINGUISHING DUTIES AS:Determines method and sequence of operations required to repair, rebuild and/or overhaul, to customer or company specifications, new, active, and inactive structural, precision and functional assemblies for aircraft and related ground support equipment, where complete information may not be readily available, tooling is inadequate or not available and it is required to apply a complete knowledge of aircraft rigging, hydraulics, plumbing, structures, and a knowledge of aircraft electrical systems; disassembles, cleans, reworks, rebuilds, overhauls, repairs, troubleshoots, modifies, reassembles and tests structural, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, precision and complex functional assemblies such as intake and exhaust system components, landing gear assemblies and their components, hydro and electrical ground units, including generators, environmental-control units and pneumatic units; fabricates replacement parts from raw materials when necessary, makes layouts, sets up and operates machine tools and fabrication equipment such as mills, lathe, drill press, shears, power brake, punches, rolls and various specialized types of metal form equipment.Must possess and maintain company and/or customer certifications and licenses required by the Company.PERFORMS SUCH RELATED DUTIES AS:Improvises shop aids to facilitate part fabrication, assembly and installation as required.Works with blueprints, diagrams, sketches, service bulletins, maintenance manuals and technical orders.Makes continuity and functional checks of electrical units and wiring and performs mechanical and hydraulic functional tests complete.
