JOB SUMMARY:

Under general supervisor with detailed
instructions and intermittent review, this
position supports engineering activities such as
test, installation, maintenance and operation of
basic equipment.
Functions include
Responsible for testing, inspecting and
maintaining ground support equipment to include,
but not limited to the following US Government
provided equipment such as 5 ton trucks,
associated equipment, trailers, etc., JP-8 fuel
truck, 100LL fuel truck, tow tractor,
fueler/defueler carts, starter/power carts,
portable hydraulic hoists, hydraulic support
stands, tow bars, mechanical toolboxes, hydraulic
press, drill press, stationary media blast unit,
portable media blast unit, air compressors and
related plumbing, portable power tools, hydraulic
and fixed work stands, nitrogen bottles and
regulators, air data boxes, fuel storage units,
golf carts, battery chargers, generators
including diagnosis and repair, and other
equipment as required.
Responsible for developing and implementing a
system for tracking and repairing above listed
equipment.
Create and maintain procedures for maintaining
equipment in accordance with ISO, DCMA and/or
other US Government regulations.
Order and control inventory of new tools and
create and maintain system for controlling tool
inventory.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations
and other applicable obligations wherever and
whenever business is conducted on behalf of the
Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in
accordance with established operating procedures
and practices.
Carries out a variety of routine duties including
housekeeping and clean up.
Other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Typically requires high school diploma or
equivalent with one or more years of experience.
Must be able to work with common hand tools. Must
be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and
demonstrate a good working knowledge of laboratory
equipment and procedures. Ability and willingness
to work on systems which have unusual conditions
such as high pressure, high voltage, high energy,
cryogens, or radioactive materials. Knowledge of
computer operations and applications pertinent to
the field required.
