As part of the team, you will work to build, evangelize and deliver world-class virtualization solutions, products, and services to customers and partners.Job Description The Alliances Technical Manager will work within VMware''s Global Strategic Alliances Organization and serve as the primary technical liaison between VMware and its key partners in the Healthcare ISV segment and potentially other verticals. They will work closely with a Partner Alliance Manager on the business side to define and execute VMware''s partnering strategy for a specific group of ISVs. They will focus on the technical aspects of educating and enabling ISV partners on VMware''s products and technology, obtaining key design wins for VMware''s platforms and tools, driving field and channel sales enablement, evangelizing the VMware + partner solution(s) to customers and helping to align VMware''s technical strategies with those of the partners in concert with VMware''s vision for virtualization and cloud computing.Responsibilities:-Independent management of partner initiatives, successful execution of technical projects, and a deliverable driven approach to partner enablement.-Conduct architectural reviews, hands-on setup and solution development, integrating the VMware products with partner products.-Educate and evangelize key partners on VMware desktop, server and cloud products and technology (technical training, roadmap updates etc) and how VMware''s technology can enhance the partner''s products and solutions. The primary focus of this education will be the VMware desktop product set.-Work with partners to perform testing and validation of their products with VMware products either in the VMware validation labs or at the partner''s internal labs. Provide technical expertise; manage this process with the partner to ensure satisfactory results are achieved-Identify areas for joint integration with partner products and deliver these to market in the form of design wins and joint solutions.-Act as primary technical interface between VMware''s partners and internal VMware groups such as Product Management, Worldwide Field Organization, Ecosystem Engineering, Validation Services, Global Support Services etc-Effectively represent VMware partner requirements and concerns during VMware product development and support life cycles-Evangelize the VMware + Partner value proposition and technical solution(s) to the VMware Field and customers through whitepapers, speaking at key industry events, web-casts and other forms of outbound awareness-Serve as the ISV Subject Matter Expert for joint solutions in supporting the VMware Field.Requirements:-8+ years experience in technology-related field with experience in customer facing roles (Pre-sales Technical Consultant, SE, post-sale Implementation Engineer, Consultant etc) is a requirement.-Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies is a requirement: Windows desktop technologies, thin clien
