We believe our operational infrastructure provides us with a competitive advantage compared to traditional automobile manufacturers.Overview of the Opportunity:The primary goal of theHeadquarters Product Specialistis to sell Tesla vehicles. TheHeadquarters Product Specialistwill accomplish this by contacting marketing generated leads, developing the lead through continued phone follow up and initiating the close process either on the phone or by directing the prospect to a store. If a prospect has been directed to a store, theHeadquarters Product Specialistwill team with the Store staff to close the sale. An implicit responsibility of theHeadquarters Product Specialistis to conduct business dealings in a way that creates a superior prospect experience that represents the Tesla brand values. The career path ofHeadquarters Product Specialistis to graduate into a management position at one of the stores. Relocation in 6-12 months to assigned store required.Responsibilities:* Achieve monthly sales targets* Follow-up on inbound leads. The purpose is to assess the prospect's needs, qualify the opportunity, and progress the sale to close* Utilize a consistent contact process to follow-up, nurture, and close leads generated by marketing campaigns* Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts based on direct experiences with potential clients* Develop and maintain sales pipeline* Daily plans to maximize and leverage phone time, including pre-call planning, and adhering to activity metrics* Participate in company meetings and marketing events* Keep up with industry trends and best practices, including utilization of new technology and web resourcesDesired Attributes:* Entry level opportunity, 1-3 years experience preferred* Strong communication and relationship management skills* Ability to understand and convey business issues and technical concepts* Self-motivated & passionate with ability to work effectively in a highly automated & collaborative sales environmentRequired Skills & Qualifications* Pre-call planning* Opportunity qualification and objection handling* Call structure and control* Time and Sales Pipeline management* Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills* Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office, internet navigation, CRM applications- preferably Salesforce.com).* BA/BS required* Legal right to work in the United States* Valid US Driver’s License with a clean and safe driving record* Ability to obtain DMV Salesperson’s License* Willingness to follow Tesla Motor’s information security policyTesla Motors is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
