You’ll work alongside accomplished, world-renowned engineers on perhaps the most exciting automotive programs in existence today.Responsibilities* Detailed design and development of packaging, thermal management, and manufacturing technology for next-generation high-power EV motor drives.* Collaborative work in engineering innovation across with mechanical, electrical, and thermal design disciplines.* Validation of mechanical systems in dynamic and environmental conditions.Requirements* Demonstrated successful experience in mechanical engineering within a product design environment with two or more of the following manufacturing methods: injection molding, stamping, extrusions, die casting, sheet metal.* Experience with product validation, FMEA analysis and test system architecture.* Experience with medium or high volume product design for manufacturing.* Detail oriented approach to testing with solid documentation and reporting skills.* Minimum of 3 years mechanical engineering experience within a product design environment for medium to high volume manufacturing.* Proficiency in CAD modeling required, CATIA v5 experience highly preferred.* Examples or portfolio of engineered products you've technically delivered.* BSME considered, MSME preferred in Mechanical Engineering.Tesla Motors is committed to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
