We believe our operational infrastructure provides us with a competitive advantage compared to traditional automobile manufacturers.Requirements* Responsible for creating custom test setups to facilitate strength and fatigue testing of mechanical components in Tesla vehicles.* Responsible for set-up and operation of servo-hydraulic test systems, including strain gauges, load cells, torque transducers and data acquisition systems.* Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of servo-hydraulic test equipment used in mechanical testing.* Creating test reports.Requirements* Ability to program and operate servo-hydraulic test systems.* Ability to fabricate mechanical fixtures out of steel and aluminum using machining and welding tools.* Familiarity with strain gauges, load cells, and torque transducers.* Thorough knowledge of high school mathematics and physics.* High School diploma or equivalent.* Training in the technical arts and physical sciences.* 2 to 5 years industry experience using servo-hydraulic test equipment.* Design of mechanical fixturing using CAD software.* Fabrication of mechanical test fixtures using machining and welding tools.* Executing of test experiments.* Documenting test results in MS Excel and MS Word.* Automotive mechanical test experience.
