Model S, the first premium sedan to be built from the ground up as an electric vehicle, goes on the market in mid-2012.The Role:Tesla Motors is seeking a motivated and experienced PLM Application specialist. This individual might be an engineer with strengths in IT or alternately an IT specialist with engineering experience. This person will work with Tesla’s engineering and IT teams to help develop and support a world class engineering design, analysis, and data management infrastructure. The ideal person will have experience with 3D CAD and PLM tools (preferably Enovia/MatrixOne and CATIA V5) and should possess strong work ethic and positive, flexible attitude. Tesla is a fast-paced environment where you will work on key technologies of an extremely exciting product. Responsibilities:* Management of Tesla’s Enovia/MatrixOne CAD Integrations systems* Project Management for improvements and upgrades of Tesla’s engineering tools * Coordinating issue resolution and enhancements requests between the user community and technical service providers* Coordination of training and methods development for Enovia/MatrixOne and CATIA* Evangelize best practices in CAD model managementRequirements:* Degree in engineering or computer science is preferred* Familiar with PLM/PDM tools and methodology. Strong preference will be given to applicants with prior Enovia/MatrixOne Designer Central for CATIA V5 administration experience* Experience with mechanical CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5.* Good interpersonal skills with an ability to train and support others* Automotive experience a plus
