<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>BAE Systems is pursuing the Jet Propulsion Laboratory Deep Space Network Operations and Maintenance contract.We hold several space and communications ground systems operation and maintenance contracts and are seeking individuals with Deep Space Network knowledge and experience for the following positions:Complex Research and Development Engineer:* Responsible for Deep Space Communications Complex on-site R&D configuration management, coordination, and training in support of advanced development activities. Administer and coordinate support Goldstone Deep Space Communications Complex R&D activities sponsored by the Technology Office and DSN Science Office. Provide direct support for R&D activities and special mission support as required. Coordinate maintenance of R&D equipment, maintenance of R&D interfaces with operational equipment, R&D equipment calibration, and end-to-end data system validation and/or system performance test prior to experiments.HIgh Power Transmitter Electronics Specialist:* Twenty years design and practical experience with high power transmitters ranging from under 1 kW to over 500 kW continuous wave and from S-band to X-band. Management experience in the operation of a high-power test facility.High Power Transmitter Mechanical Specialist:* Ten years experience as a general machinist with at least five of those years as a computer numerical control (CNC) machinist/programmer. Certified to operate Fadal-type CNC. Ability to design with mechanical design and CAD packages such as Solid Works, Pro E, Autocad, and Virtual Gibbs. State-certified welding certificate (general steel - architectural)Antenna Maintenance Personnel:* Able to measure the thickness of the thermal coating to determine if it has been applied per the specification. Able to use the required tools to repair any damaged or thinned areas on the structure. Able to determine the condition of a bolted connection by either testing the bolt torque or visual appearance of the hardware itself. Able to use hand tools, torque wrenches, and hydraulic torque wrenches. Know the inspection techniques and equipment used for inspection of welds. Able to read detail drawings to determine whether a structural member has shifted in any direction.Performance Metrics Analyst:* Possess knowledge of basic DSN architecture and operations, statistical methods, data collection, manipulation, analysis, and trend identification.Facilities Design Engineer:* Possess architect or engineer BS degree with 10 years experience. Function as the Design Engineer for Deep Space Communications Complex (DSCC) facilities. Provide support in the design and construction of facilities, and master planning of DSCC facilities.Structural Engineer:<?xml:namespace prefix = o />* Responsible for evaluating the condition of the structural assemblies on the antenna and for developing all repair operations for its components. Monitor maintenance activities and the installation of all additions to the structural assembly. Review the analysis data and design drawings developed for any proposed modifications to the structural assembly.Mechanical Engineer:* Responsible for evaluating the condition of the mechanical assemblies on the antenna including the alignments of the gear reducers, condition of the hydraulic and electric drives, condition of all rotating assemblies, and the operational status of hydrostatic bearing assembly. Develop all installation, rework and alignment procedures for maintenance activities on all mechanical assemblies. Review the analysis data and design drawings developed for any proposed modifications to the mechanical assembly. Monitor the condition of the hardware by analyzing the predictive and preventive maintenance reports generated by the maintenance personnel at the stations.Cassegrain Assembly Engineer:* Develop new procedures used for maintenance activities for the handling and alignments of the reflective structure, subreflector assembly, and mirrors.
