This position is responsible for, but not limited
to, the following
High-quality execution and on-time achievement of
solid model designs and associated documents.
Design and develop new, unique products and
support existing products
ASME Y14.5-2009, Dimensioning and Tolerancing,
including GDT
Preparing tolerance analysis for engineering
input
Create multiple concepts for complex problems,
build representative prototypes physical-
prototypes and virtual-computer models
Highly skilled in modeling solids and surfaces
using solid modeling software SolidWorks
Prepare for comprehensive design reviews
demonstrating attention to details
Interact and collaborate effectively with cross
functional groups i.e. Quality, Regulatory,
Manufacturing, Marketing
Team with engineering to create designs that meet
and exceed product specifications, regulatory
requirements and international standards
Grow and maintain technical knowledge current with
advancing technologies related to product
development of medical devices
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires an A.S. in Mechanical Design
Requires 8-12 years of design related experience,
medical device product development GMP, FDA, CE
preferred.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding materials fundamentals and
processes.
Microsoft Windows 7 and Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must perform well in cross functional, highly
dynamic development teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
Maintain a professional credible image with key
customers, vendors, coworkers and the technical
community.
Experience with injection molded component
development.
Hands on experience with 3D printers.
Hands on experience with machine shop equipment
and practices.
Experience with SolidWorks advance features, e.g.
Simulation, Surfaces, Autotrace, import and export
files to and from other modeling sources.
Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Acrobat.
