Responsibilities include enhancing student understanding of financial responsibilities upon leaving a DeVry school and conducting regular, proactive outreach to former students and current students enrolled in high-risk programs in order to provide education and assistance in the areas of student loan repayment and money management that will result in the best possible payment process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Performs early/late default intervention initiatives and provides financial literacy instruction throughout various stages of the student lifecycle. Initiatives include managing financial literacy fairs and monitoring the cohort default and gainful employment rates at the campus level.* Fully familiar with all financial literacy and default management activities and services for the student.* Facilitates constant and ongoing efforts for minimizing delinquency or default in student loan repayment through exit counseling via internet-based tools or in-person/group sessions. Ensures that all borrowers are informed of consequences of default* Ensures that all borrowers receive current information regarding their loans upon request. Distributes available printed materials, Internet access information, and any other available materials that describe elements of the borrowers’ particular loan program. * Initiates contact with withdrawn students (includes graduates) regarding their Federal Student Loan status through email/mail/phone calls. Topics of discussion include grace periods, repayment responsibilities, payment plans, etc.* Updates school records with new student contact information and advises the borrower''s lender of new information received.* Follows-up with students who are delinquent on loan payments through web, mail and/or phone campaigns to discuss payment options and follow-up to ensure that steps have been taken to have loan back on repayment.Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree preferred.* 2 – 3 years of experience in Lending and/or financial literacy* In-depth knowledge of federal Title IV and state financial aid regulations and associated processing procedures preferred.* Demonstrable knowledge of principles, practices, methodology, and procedures for the provision of student financial aid advisement* Previous knowledge in default management and Cohort Default Rates preferred but not required.* Excellent customer service skills.* Ability to work productively, with minimal supervision and communicate effectively. * Ability to multi-task and detail oriented.* Ability to analyze results and produce reporting on activities.* PC skills in Microsoft Office, database and internet applications.* Proven ability to set priorities and deadlines and ensure projects are completed.* Self-motivated and willing to take ownership of, and q
