<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>We are seeking a qualified individual to join our company as a Safety Manager. This individual will report to the President or CEO with a dotted line to the Director of Human Resources. This individual must have safety experience working with companies in California.
Responsibilities The Safety Manager is dedicated to reducing risks and increasing safety awareness while keeping budget costs low. Safety manager will develop, implement and oversee safety training, policies, procedures and programs. This position also conducts routine audits to ensure that safety requirements are followed. Manage all workers compensation claims and responsible for monitoring costs. Process weekly and monthly reports for senior management, conduct weekly safety meetings with safety committee,
Safety manager will be responsible for investigating accidents, handle reports and deal with workmans compensation claims. This position also consults with brokers and insurance companies during the annual renewal process.
Work Location The Safety manager will be based at the corporate offices but will be required to travel to all other office locations on a weekly or as needed basis.
All other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience AA or Bachelors degree in the safety field, and a minimum of 4 years of safety experience in a related field, including a position that required leadership skills. Its also preferred for the Safety Manager to be bilingual, speaking English and Spanish. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, EXCEL, Word and etc. required. Good oral and written communication skills.
