JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>In this temporary-to-hire position, you will be responsible for project Analysis, Bids Proposal Review and ensure government compliance for government projects.
Your main areas of focus will include
Initially, this role will work solely with the Mil/Aero Business Unit MPBU to ensure the project costing module in SAP is in working order by reviewing and establishing all the settlement rules and establishing procedures for MPBU staff to follow.
In-depth review of all MPBU projects and ensure that all cost are captured accurately and be able to provide profitability, inventory and cost control analysis on a project basis. Produce ad hoc report as needed.
Responsible for all month-end analysis entries related in booking adjustments needed.
Work with the Finance Manager to ensure that SAP accounting system is DCAA FAR compliant in establishing a government approved accounting system and rates.
Work with Finance manager to validate accuracy of RM, WIP FG inventory including excess obsolete inventory.
Identify causes of excess obsolete inventory and recommend corrective action by utilizing forecasting tool and analysis.
Analysis of MPBU Cost Center expenses and variances for optimal cost control.
Assist in rolling BOMs and ensure correct material pricing as necessary.
Provide profitability financial analysis and support on bids proposal development of new projects.
Responsible in analysis MPBU products, projects contracts margin.
Assist Finance Manager during budget annual project process related to MPBU group.
Serve as a liaison between MPBU project managers and A/R group to ensure proper timely billing of milestone on customer developed projects.
Serve as a business analyst/consultant relative to product development and business strategies.
Responsible in providing reports and analysis during audit as needed.
Other task as needed in support of MPBU operations.
Ideally, you will have
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting/Finance.
At least 7-10 years progressive Financial Analysis experience on mid-size company $100-250K sales.
SAP experience especially with Project module and Inventory, and with data mining and running reports.
Strong knowledge of Excel and extensive experience with If logic, functions such as lookups, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and filtering/sorting large data sets.
Government accounting experience a must. Including but not limited to familiarity of DCAA approved accounting systems, direct/indirect rate pools DCAA audits
Must have strong demonstrated analytical skills
Must be able to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team environment while providing an appropriate level influence on decision-making processes.
Excellent communication and human interaction skills.
