Implements commercial real estate lending objectives and practices. May also be responsible for the management and collection of problem loans.Responsibilities: Oversee all activities that relate to the origination of commercial real estate loans for the assigned region. Direct the activities of Commercial Real Estate loan officers in the origination, screening, closing and processing of loans. Cultivate new business prospects. Maintain contact with Realtors, builders and developers to originate loans. Manage the servicing of existing customer relationships. Ensure that all loans are closed and processed accurately. Maintain an awareness of new trends in the local commercial real estate market and of loan programs offered by competitors. May be required to manage the workout loans in the region. Exercise the usual authority of a department head concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations.
