The emphasis of this position is the Teradata kernel software with a focus on maintenance and enhancement of extensibility features for the DBS. These include:* Writing and debugging data base functions for domain specific areas (geospatial, statistics etc.)* Implementation of new complex data types* Implementation of new complex data type indexies and statistics* Other extensibility features.Write design and test specifications for DBS Kernel enhancements. Plan and manage engineering tasks within larger project. Perform related requirements analysis and problem analysis. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related disciplineEducational experience programming with C/C /Java programming languageInterested insystem-levelprogrammingKnoweldge of Windows and UNIX or Linux operating systemsKnowledge of compiler construction technologiesKnowledge of SQL.
