This includes the daily staffing assignments and the coordination of departmental resources. Responsible for coordinating and supervising the nursing and technical staff. Monitors the performance and competency of the staff and gives verbal and written input for annual performance evaluations, as well as assisting the Director with personnel issues regarding non-compliance of policies and procedures. Functions as the liaison with the medical staff and other customers for the Director when not present. Contributes to the development of policies and procedures, performance improvement plans, and has general oversight for staff orientation and development. Promotes performance excellence standards within the department.Licensure/Certification Required:California RN licensure CPR Current ACLS Current PALS Current MICN within 1 year of hireExperience Preferred:1 to 2 years experience in the area of specialty or in area of higher acuity or participation in internship program/course.HR Use Only:
