<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Admin Charge NurseDivision: Behavioral Medicine CenterDepartment: IntakeSchedule: Full-TimeSalary Range: LL3380: $32.43 - $45.83 HourlyShift: AMHours: This is a 0700 - 1530 positionJob Details: * CA RN license* CPR/BLS* 1-2 years* The Admin Charge Nurse, utilizes discretion and independent judgment in providing supervision and management of a team of licensed and unlicensed nursing staff during an assigned shift on a designated unit; collaborates with the leadership team (Nurse Manager and other Charge Nurses) to ensure continuity of care is provided from shift-to-shift, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; coordinates and oversees healthcare team that provides age-specific patient care where deems appropriate; consults with Nurse Manager to manage unit operations and human resources, evaluates assigned personnel on clinical competency, serves as a resource to staff and provides direct patient care as needed; serves as a role model and provides positive influence to facilitate change; utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism; contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.Job Specifications:Graduate of a school of nursing, Bachelor of Science of Nursing/Masters of Nursing for charge nurse position preferred. Knowledge of psychotropic medications. Knowledge of appropriate age group. One or more years med/surg, and, as applicable: One or more years in acute psych. One or more years in Psychiatric Intake preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Current and unrestricted<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Californialicense; and, as applicable: Psychiatric nursing or clinical specialist certification preferred. Chemical dependency nursing certification or specialist preferred. Current basic life support certification. Basic clinical skills in delivery of nursing care in acute care facility.**If in a recovery program, at least two years of sobriety is required for staff and at least 5 years for management*EEO/AA/M/F/D/V
