This is an exciting opportunity to assist Esris
software development team in building successful
online products that apply GIS capabilities to
strategic business and public policy questions. In
this position you will become an invaluable team
member by facilitating, guiding, and monitoring
the development of online business and community-
focused products.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Development, Product Management,
Design, Project Management, Quality Assurance, and
Operations in the planning of software releases
Ensure product requirements and designs are being
implemented as planned throughout the development
cycle and lead discussions whenever plans need to
change
Assist the development team in review and
prioritization of software change requests
Proactively assist the QA team with software
testing and the creation of test plans
Lead and facilitate the creation of documentation
including training materials, videos, blogs, FAQs,
etc.
Become the product expert in support of Sales,
Technical Support, Marketing, and Professional
Services
Requirements
Bachelors in computer science, GIS, or relevant
earth sciences majors, depending on position level
Five years of experience in a product support,
product planning, or consulting environment
Working knowledge of the application of GIS in
business or public policy research
A passion for technology and a strong drive to
make the customer experience as positive as
possible
Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency
in seeing that tasks are completed in accordance
with the fast pace of online software releases
Effective time management and organizational
skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Recommended Qualifications
Knowledge of Esri software, with specific emphasis
on Business Analyst Online
Experience developing Rich Internet Applications
with Flex or Silverlight
Experience using web RESTful and SOAP-based web
services
Experience with and a curiosity about other online
products..
