Overview
Are you a natural collaborator who is used to
developing designs in a team environment with
multiple stakeholders? Apply your passion for
elegant design and good eye for aesthetics on a
dynamic team working to bring Esri mapping and
location analytics to the world of business
analytics.
Responsibilities
Develop design prototypes, wireframes, usage
scenarios, information architecture, usability,
navigation maps, and other design documents
Define and create specifications for innovative
user interfaces, for multiple devices/platforms,
with interaction styles and modes that result in
improved user productivity and engagement
Effectively document and communicate design
concepts and specifications
Stay up to date on current trends in interaction
design for web, mobile, desktop, and tablet apps.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Requirements
Bachelors or masters in human factors, human
computer interaction, usability engineering,
cognitive psychology, or related field, depending
on position level
Minimum of two years of work experience in user
experience design
Strong, demonstrated understanding of user-
centered design methodology
Experience with usability assessment techniques
including usability heuristics and contextual
enquiry as well as conducting lab-based usability
testing
Experience creating process flows, wireframes, and
mockups to effectively conceptualize and present
detailed interaction behaviors
Strong working knowledge of and experience using
tools such as Balsamiq, Axure, OmniGraffle,
Photoshop/Illustrator, PowerPoint, Flash Catalyst
at various design stages
Previous experience working and designing desktop,
web, and mobile applications and solutions
Ability to work in a cross functional team
environment in an agile development process FOR
