responsible for all financial and accounting
functions in the Emergency Department in Sequoia
Hospital which included a daily chart review to
verify documentation/charges following the
Corporate Compliance guidelines. The Emergency
Room Charges, Medication/IV Therapy and all ED
Procedures are reviewed to follow the policies
developed by the Center for Medicaid Services
CMS and the Dignity Health Facility Emergency
and Management Level Criteria. The Financial
Representative/Billing Specialist will lead,
develop and implement a variety of projects
including implementation of the charge audit
process and administration. The Emergency
Department Finance Rep / Billing Specialist is a
professional who assumes responsibility and
accountability for efficient customer service.
Two years recent experience in the area of
Emergency Department charging and auditing of
charges required. Understanding of medication and
IV therapy practices is mandatory. Anatomy,
physiology, medical terminology, and coding
experience are preferred.
At least two years college education in
accounting, business or finance is preferred.
Must be able to accurately file alphabetically and
numerically and type at least 40 words per minute.
40 WPM

CRT Crisis Response Training is required within
90 days of hire or transfer.  CT CRT
