Invest in you!Job Summary:Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting operations and customer service management in the work direction, training and coordination of assigned employees in operational areas of the branch.Major Responsibilities:Operations: 30%Prepare and monitor the daily and weekly work schedules of assigned employees to ensure equitable work distribution and uninterrupted customer service, making use of Scheduler 360.Provide technical guidance and advice to assigned employees on work related problems. Assist Branch Manager with interviewing new staff. Adhere to all Bank operational procedures and guidelines. Provide backup in critical operational areas during peak periods. Approve referred items within authorized limits.May perform any of the following functions:- Monitor cash levels at the branch and place cash orders or ship excess cash.- Verify and/or approve various documents and transactions, (e.g., G/L tickets, IBC's, Customer Charges, Deposits, etc.).- Assume responsibility for various reports and/or certifications.- Responsible for more complex tasks such as safe deposit tasks, handling client request/research, and merchant teller services.Customer Service: 40%Resolve customer complaints and problems, referring to and/or advising supervisor of unresolved problems. Recognize sale referral opportunities when meeting with customer and meet referral goals.Training: 15%In conjunction with the Customer Service Manager, assume responsibility for the training and cross-training of assigned employees, including scheduling and assignment of training priorities.Compliance/Risk/Operations: 15%Responsible for following and adhering to all bank operational and security policies and procedures, including compliance and privacy policies and procedures to maintain customer confidentiality. Conform to all government compliance regulations.Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.Excellent problem-solving skillsMust enjoy working with customers and employeesThis position typically requires 1 to 2 years previous work experience or comparable work experience from a centralized Bank operations area. Requires the ability to understand and use the computer and all standard bank software.
