JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Candidate will assist in facilitating and performing daily maintenance, operations and the hardening and scanning of RDTE computer systems. Other duties include the setup of server/Client PC systems and communications to customer specifications; may perform systems backups and oversee customer computer equipment operations involving Microsoft or Linux client/server computer systems environment.- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Unix- Ability to perform hardware upgrades to PC''s and Macs (optional)- Knowledge and experience in hardening and scanning RDTE computers and servers- Familiarity with major PC software packages- Experience with PC''s, servers and networking in a windows environment- Ability to communicate orally and in writing- Must work well with others and be able to follow directions- Must be able to prioritize tasksTwo (2) years of college work in a computer or technical discipline and two (2) years of directly related experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education. Two (2) years of experience working with PC''s and/or Microsoft/Linux server operating software. MCP 2003 or 2008 certifications can be a work in progress. Experience with PC customer support activity is required. Knowledge of Navy RDTE computer systems environments is desired. Experience and working knowledge of installing software, upgrading hardware, repairing non-functioning computers. Intricate knowledge of servers and networking a plus. Certification (DOD 8570) such as Security + required for this position. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain an interim and a permanent U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
