We give you the freedom and the resources to solve impossible problems in a highly innovative and collaborative work environment - all while helping keep America safe and strong.Currently, SRC has an excellent opportunity for an experienced flight test engineer in the China Lake, Calif., area to support client programs.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to- Perform all facets of flight testing from initial planning and operations through execution, data collection, reduction and analysis, report writing and recommendations- Operate as a project engineer or site manager, as required- Review test plans and safety packages generated by the prime contractor and associated contractors, including attendance at test planning working groups and test interface meetings- Support test and safety plan approvals, communicate program office priorities and work daily scheduling issues- Schedule test item modifications, maintenance and flight test requirements- Review modification packages for air vehicles, ground control stations and other support equipment- Facilitate scheduling unique test resources, e.g., range, weapons, etc.- Support long-term scheduling of flight test activities- Review proposals for validity of flight test requirements- Support program managers with test advice, recommending priorities, resource planning and constraints, and inputs into deficiency identification and correction- Work system configurations and troubleshoot to support required sorties- Assess and/or evaluate both subjective and objective data acquired through test execution- Assist in the development of briefings and reports as required to update program leadership on progressPosition Requirements- Bachelors degree in systems engineering or related field masters degree preferred- Eight or more years of engineering experience and at least four years experience with unmanned aircraft systems or flight test preferably with the predator/reaper systems- Must possess an in-depth understanding of the Air Force test process including development test, operational test, joint operational test and evaluation and force development evaluation testingSecurity RequirementsAn active Secret security clearance and current investigation are required.EEO/AA employer.
