Performs inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:I. Performs a variety of mechanical duties on various aircraft models involving diagnosis of malfunctions and required disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment of various aircraft systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery to customer.a. Performs turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair and engine run-ups.b. Conducts airframe system, component changes and systems checkout.c. Performs installation of service bulletins and kits on airframes and engines.d. Requires knowledge of 100 hour, annual and progressive inspection procedures set forth in FAR 43.II. Uses equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and a variety of hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.III. Responsible only for own work.IV. Orders and obtains parts necessary to effect aircraft repairs. Assures that cores are returned in accordance with established procedure.IV. Responsible for communicating safety expectations of the Service Center.a. Monitors the work environment to assure it is maintained in a safe and orderly condition.b. Identifies and corrects unsafe acts.IV. Performs other related duties as required.EDUCATION:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Requires use of arithmetic, blueprints and specifications plus a knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.
