Management of risk may include, but is not limited to, the implementation and coordination of Federal/State/County regulations related to workplace safety, environmental controls and employee security/health.The Regional Safety Manager is an integral member of the Regional Operations Team, who ensures that all field and operational personnel have the appropriate processes, procedures, training and tools, to work safely and effectively throughout the company. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Safety to whom they will convey safety metrics for their region, discuss accidents and incidents, develop policies, evaluate tools/procedures and collaborate on innovation solutions to new risks.Responsibilities&bull; Communicate and collaborate daily with the Regional Operations Manager&bull; Conduct detailed safety audits, with the emphasis on continuous improvement and best practices. Audits will be conducted for Solar City staff, vendors, partners and subcontractors, in office, warehouse, yard, storage and sub-contractor facilities&bull; Manage the planning phase of jobs and inspect safety on the first day to ensure safety standards are being following to standard.&bull; Pre-qualify all regional subcontractors for the Regional Operations Manager.&bull; Investigate all injury and property damage incidents and accidents occurring in the region or as directed.&bull; Tabulate all regional metrics and report monthly to the Senior Director of Saftety or immediately upon request.&bull; Manage the regional safety budget for travel, supplies, etc.&bull; Serve as the company representative to regulatory agencies and the public in addressing issues of employee safety and environmental concerns.&bull; Draft, issue and discus safety violations to employees as warranted.&bull; Ensure safety equipment and supplies are in good working condition including fall protection, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers.&bull; Distribute and update jobsite safety postings in regional offices and remote work locations.RequirementsSKILLS:&bull; Creates and models a culture of accountability.&bull; Adept at using different and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities. Establishes and maintains good team dynamics with internal and external parties.&bull; Acts with great urgency in addressing and resolving at-risk safety issues.&bull; Excellent written and verbal communication skillsQUALIFICATIONS:&bull; At least 5-7 years experience in safety, risk management and/or insurance, preferably in construction or related field.&bull; Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically fall protection and electrical safety is essential.&bull; Willing to travel frequently (position requires 80% travel).&bull; Basic Word, Excel and PowerPoint.&bull; Minimum Certified Training: OSHA 500 or 501, Fall Protection Competent Person Trainer, Fall Rescue Trained, NFPA 70e, CPR 1st Aid.&bull; Clean Driving Record with no DUI and no more than 2 points accu
