FIELD SERVICE MECHANIC FOR FLOOR CLEANING EQUIMENT

JOB SUMMARY:

Working at our customers facility, the service representative will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair floor cleaning equipment, and provide quality customer service and communication to minimize costs and ensure customer satisfaction.
Specific Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and LP powered engine problems on all brands of floor care products
Responsible for effectively scheduling time and arranging all customer calls, planned maintenance, to maintain effective customer service
Monitor and control expenses and assume complete service responsibility within the service territory
Assist manager by making territory boundary changes and customer alignment recommendations
Satisfy in a timely and complete fashion, all business reporting documentation timesheets, repair orders, machine checklists, receiving records, expense reports, and repair order logs
Efficiently manage inventory levels to maximize inventory while minimizing return trips to customers
Estimate machine repair requirements and prepare necessary data to provide an accurate repair quote to the customer
Accountable for complete service product knowledge and services offered by AE Corp. Must comply with all service department and company procedures, policies, and programs.
Maintain records of all service activities within the service area through the use and regular updating of customer repair order logs, service agreements, and completed repair order files
Temporarily substitute in other service territories as required in cases of illness, vacations, vacancies, etc.
Responsible for proper and safe use, maintenance, and reporting of all Company property. This includes trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment
Advise sales representatives of potential customer applications for equipment replacements or additions
Consistently present a professional image, both in personal appearance and condition of company equipment
Required Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Technically knowledgeable and skilled in the troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
--Knowledge and troubleshooting experience with engines a plus
Safely use hand and power shop tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
Able to accurately complete service-related documents and paperwork
Basic understanding and knowledge of how to use a personal computer
Understand and manage expenses within the service operation
Good verbal communication skills
Customer-centric attitude and approach
Basic inventory management skills
Ability to lay out realistic plans and use them to effectively manage the service territory and schedule service work
Good organization skills
Required Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
--Advanced technical coursework a plus
Valid drivers license
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum of two years work experience to include
--Troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing mobile equipment
--Demonstrated experience working with one or more of the following mechanical, electrical, and LP powered engine
--Demonstrated experience working in direct contact with customers on service-related activities
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
2 years High School/GED
