JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>The Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN Per Diem
performs nursing care to patients under the
direction of the Registered Nurse and/or there
direct management member. The LVN performs a
variety of direct and indirect patient care
duties. Assist with patient and family teaching,
working cooperatively with all health care
providers. The LVN utilizes observation and
assists medical staff to ensure optimal care
within established policies, procedures, and
standards of Community Hospital of San Bernardino
CHSB. This position requires the full
understanding and active participation in
fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of
San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee
will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core
Values. The employee shall support Community
Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the
goals and direction of the quality improvement,
process, and activities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS One 1 year
experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN in
a hospital setting is required. One 1 year
experience performing acute and/or sub-acute care
preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Must have
graduated from an accredited School of Vocational
Nursing program as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
LVN Licensed through the Boards of Vocational
Nursing and Psyciatric Technicians required.
LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND
PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS Valid
California IV Certification through the Board of
Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians
BVNPT, or to be obtained within 90 days of
employment and will be contingent on continued
employment, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR
Certification through the American Heart
Association AHA, Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN
License, Basic Life Support BLS Certification,
and Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS
Certification required.
