Identifies challenges and provides feedback regarding progress and direction of the continuous improvement process. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.Summary of Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:* Acts as subject matter expert for the continuous improvement process and tools. Consults with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams on their continuous improvement initiatives. Serves as liaison for the plant with external vendors with regard to continuous improvement.* Communicates up, down, sideways with all levels within the plant. Assists partners in resolving issues and concerns with equipment and processes. Facilitates teaming and influences both groups and individuals.* Consults with stakeholders on training and development needs to support business objectives. Recommends to the plant team opportunities for improvement in focused areas.* Manages the design and delivery of training plans and formats created to bridge the gap between current performance and business goals. Understands bridge between needs and goals to actions and translates them into tools, sessions and processes. Coaches and directs other partners in the design and delivery of training programs. Facilitates training of supervisors, managers and partners. Develops and leads teambuilding exercises.* Supports the Small Group Activity process by being facilitator, mentor and resource to leaders and the teams during a SGA.* Supports the implementation of company processes, procedures, methods and practices to promote continuous improvement.Summary of Experience* Manufacturing or related experience (2 years)* Supervision or team leadership (2 years)* Knowledge of World Class Manufacturing tools, such as 5S, Fishbone and SPCRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* Strong interpersonal skills* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing* Planning and organizational project management skills* Ability to influence and collaborate with others* Problem-solving skills* Ability to understand and follow established safety procedures* Familiarity with American Institute of Baking (AIB), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards* Ability to build teams* Ability to plan, prioritize and make decisions
