A Sales Representative's purpose is to develop and maintain positive relationships with these customers in order to obtain and expand the sales of our industrial generator system products and services.                New Equipment Sales Executive- Industrial/Residential Generator SystemsJob Responsibilities:&middot;    Responding to sales leads: As sales leads are received by telephone, E-mail, fax, letter, inquiries to suppliers, or from trade shows, and are assigned by the Sales Manager to an individual Sales Representative, that Industrial Generator System Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and contacting all bidders for the project, gathering and recording relevant prospect information, determining prospect&rsquo;s requirements, developing bills of material that satisfy those requirements, assessing market conditions and competitive position, explaining benefits of systems offered, eliciting and overcoming prospect objections, and closing sales&middot;    Estimating and Quotation Prepartaion: Industrial/Residential Generator System Sales Representatives must be capable of estimating the cost of a generator system based upon project specifications or job-site evaluations &middot;    This estimating process includes the development of a KohlerNet verification for the Kohler portion, outside vendor items, assembly and test labor, and compilation on a BCEW recap form &middot;    The written quotation must contain the basic elements of a BCEW quote including basic bill of material, exceptions and/or clarifications, prices, terms and conditions&middot;    Responsibility for estimating and quotation preparation serves as a backup to the Estimator for those instances when workload or time restraints do not permit the work to be done by that position. &middot;    Close cooperation with the Estimator is essential &middot;    Prospecting: Industrial Generator System Sales Representatives are required to make cold calls on prospective customers sourced from company's database, trade publications and periodicals, advertising, surveys, bid registers, the internet, and observations from their own business travel, in order to create additional sales leads&middot;    Technical Understanding: Correspondence and discussions with prospects and customers invariably require that the Industrial Generator System Sales Representative demonstrate a thorough understanding of the technical features and benefits of the system being offered and how it relates to the specific application in question. Familiar topics include equipment specification sheets, application ratings, accessories, installation requirements, applicable national and local codes and regulations, as well as required and optional services offered by the company&middot;    Competitive Position: Industrial Generator System Sales Representatives must be aware of their competitive position with regard to both cost and performance. It is this competitive knowledge that provides a maximization of gross profit for sales closed.&middot;Closing Sales: Sales Representatives must understand and apply the sales techniques required to close sales&middot;    Follow-up: Once a customer order has been received, the Sales Representative must provide essential documentation to the company to establish a credit account and for Project Management to process the order in a professional and profitable manner.
