Equipment to include; conveyors, crushers, screens, pumps, elevators, drives, screws and dryers. Use of some mobile equipment such as fork lift to carry and lift heavy parts into place. Uses wide variety of hand and power tools. Must be proficient in use of cutting torch, stick and MIG welding.This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing stationary production machinery at aggregate mining, ready-mix and asphalt plants.The individual must be have good mechanical and welding skills. Uses a wide variety of hand and power tools, and uses cutting torch and welding equipment to rebuild or fabricates parts. Must have the ability to read and work from prints; measure and quality check your own work. Must be able to perform preventative maintenance repairs according to established procedures.A high school graduate or equivalent experience required. Ability to communicate effectively, listen well, work collaboratively, and be adaptable to changing work needs. Three years repair / maintenance experience is required. Aggregate / HMA production plant experience a plus. Required to read technical manuals and understand mechanical diagrams. Travel RequiredInspects and reports condition of above machinery for items needing repair or service. Rebuilds or fabricates parts. Reads technical manuals and may order parts from outside suppliers. Perform other duties as directed.Required SkillsEDUCATION REQUIRED: High School graduate or equivalent. Must have ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematic diagrams. Communicate effectively, listen well, work collaboratively and be adaptable to changing work needs. Certified welder preferred.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 3 years in machinery maintenance and repair field.SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Very good mechanical and welding skills. Ability to work at heights of up to 70
