Aero Services provides Contractor Operated teams of ISR professionals with expertise in intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for providing technical expertise in mechanical, inspection work and during troubleshooting of mechanical and system problemsProvides flight line and ground support to include towing, refueling, defueling, launch and recovery of aircraftDevelops and writes procedures to improve work quality and recordsDevelops new job protocols for project workInstructs training programsFrequently interacts with inter-organizational and customer contactsResponsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on unmanned aerial vehiclesPerforms inspection at regular intervals: airframe, propeller and engineRepairs as needed fuel or oil leaks and engine problemsRemoves and replaces airframe components as needed including aileron servos, flap servos, brake servos, landing gear servos, throttle servos and waste gate servosPerforms all launch and recovery including inspections, starting engine, operational check, installing payloads (cameras, KU, Datalink, SAR, EO/IR), fueling and de-fuelingIncorporates any approved configuration changes and other modifications into all aircraft as neededAll work is to be completed as per company approved and/or government technical order requirementsInterfaces with customers, military and civilians, and understands the discipline required to maintain aircraft and associated equipment as a contractorAssists supervision and management in the implementation of policies and proceduresProvides OJT and oversight to new A&P Specialists I and IIAssists in the development of training programs and conducts training sessions to teach various A&P specialistsPerforms scheduled and unscheduled maintenanceInspects airframe, powerplant, and propeller components at regular intervals as per company approved procedures and/or government and customer technical order requirementsCertifies aircraft records that aircraft are in a condition safe for flightResponsible for powerplant developmentRepairs fuel and oil leaks or engine problems as needed and removes and replaces airframe components as neededTroubleshoots and repairs aircraft independently, assists and/or trains lesser skilled technicians in troubleshootingTests, maintains and operates ground equipmentPerforms other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Typically requires a High School diploma or equivalent and three or more years of mechanical/aviation/maintenance experience and two or more years of company product related mechanical knowledgeMust have completed at least one 6 month OCONUS deployment; either military or contractorThe position is a deployable position which requires travel to customer operating sites as well as deployments to hostile and austere OCONUS locations for periods between 2 to 6 months, at a timeEmployment and continued employment with GA-SI is contingent upon passing all Department Of Defense (DOD) requirements, which include medical and dental examinations, and receiving and maintaining the required immunizationsAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance is requiredDESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Military maintenance training is a plusGeneral aviation experience is pr
