This senior sales position is responsible for new accelerated awards/orders growth for the Software Solutions business area within NMS. This position requires proactive customer sales prospecting and early opportunity identification and qualification for new differentiated mission software based applications solutions for the Navy, USAF, select Federal Agencies (NOAA, FAA, DISA) and adjacent Public Sector markets/customers.Software Solutions primary mission based functional domain areas include: Advanced Mission Software Applications (Command & Control, Geospatial, Weather, Logistics and Situational Awareness). Key enabling technologies that comprise our Big Data Solutions offering include: (Integration Services, Visualization & Analytics, Platform Appliances, SaaS offerings). Candidates ability to serve as both the Solution Sales Lead and initial SME for these domain and technology areas is a key job requirement.Applied and demonstrated knowledge with advanced software technologies & platforms are critical for this sr. solution sales position (XML, HTML, Hadoop, Java, Cloudera, Redhat, Oracle, SOA, OS, OWT)Key Sales Responsibilities:- Develop and aggressively grow a new / robust qualified Software Solutions sales funnel of $150M+- Prospect, close and meet/exceed annual sales quotas for Qualified Opportunities, Proposals & Orders- Execute sales call plans with customer owners, decision makers and influencers early in sales process- Proven salesperson and track record within DoD, Fed/Civil, Agencies, Public Sector areas- Effective solutions selling and differentiating NMS'' Software Mission Applications & Big Data offerings- Leverage industry/customer network, produce new sales leads, and optimize strategic partners- Rationalize customer''s diverse, complex technical IT and software solution requirements and priorities- Develop tailored sales briefings, demos and white papers to enhance strategic sales capture rates- Participate in trade shows, marketing events, seminars and industry/customer user sessions- Understand/translate customer needs and jointly work with Software SME''s to customize solutions- Continually monitor dynamic industry trends, budgets/funding and GD competitive positioning tactics- Conduct internal management pursuit & strategy reviews and qualify new business/sales opportunities  (Focus on customer needs, budget/funding, schedules, hot-buttons, selection criteria, challenges, gap analysis, winning technical approach, risks/issues, teaming strategies, resource investments, initial PTW)- Strong collaboration and team player that partners with BD/Sales, SME''s, Capture Mgrs and B/A LeadsRequires BS/BA degree.
