This Material Handler position is specifically in support of Submarine repair where material handling must be accomplished IAW with the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, maintaining chain of custody and certification of material meeting Quality Assurance requirements. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from ships, docks, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Inspect product load for accuracy, and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, or other stock items and distributes items to production areas. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets, slip sheets, or floor loading of trailers. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens bales, crates, and other containers. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Required Skills
