<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Information System Security Officer  (Job Number:317840)Description:SAIC has an immediate job opportunity for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) located in San Diego, CA. Position requires current DoD security clearance; candidates without will not be considered. Relocation available to qualified candidates.JOB DESCRIPTION:The selected candidate will assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and site security management in developing, implementing, and evaluating Information Systems (IS) security programs at the Campus Point office. Under minimal supervision, the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) will coordinate with business area managers and professional staff to ensure information system security compliance. The ISSO will be responsible for drafting security Concept of Operations (CONOPS), System Security Plans (SSP) and IS profiles (ISP) to satisfy certification and accreditation (C&A) requirements. Additionally the ISSO will be responsible for:- Conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.- Ensuring all software, hardware and firmware changes recorded as required by established configuration management procedures.- Ensuring implementation of security features for the detection of malicious code, viruses, and intruders, as appropriate.- Ensuring systems are operated, maintained and disposed of in accordance with applicable governing policies and procedures.- Performing IS security briefings to authorized individuals prior to those users gaining access classified information systems.- Reporting all security incidents to the ISSM as well as local Site Security Management and investigate, document, report, and provide protective/corrective measures in response to such incidents.Qualifications:Qualifications:REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:- Bachelor''s degree or equivalent including 4+ years of combined experience in IT and computer security.- Experience implementing JAFAN, DCID, ICD, or NISPOM.- Experience administering Microsoft Windows, Linux operating system environments as well as managing their system functions, security policies and technical security safeguards.- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently, learn new skills quickly, demonstrate excellent problem solving ability, be organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and self-motivated.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Position requires current DoD security clearance; candidates without will not be considered.DESIRED SKILLS:- Posses or able to obtain Professional IT Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.- Ability to obtain a Top Secret, clearance..SAIC Overview:SAIC is a FORTUNE 500
