The right candidate must have the temperament to thrive in our high-velocity, demanding business culture and enjoy interacting with high-octane, committed co-workers who enjoy working together, value collaboration, and are passionate about providing our clients with access to what we believe are some of the best investment managers in the alternatives industry.RESPONSIBILITIESReporting to the EVP of Global Sales and Consulting, and in partnership with the National Sales/Key Accounts Directors, our Internal Sales Desk Manager will increase sales production by supporting, monitoring and managing a team of 13+ internal wholesalers, including the following:? Assisting the external/internal sales teams to develop territory management and business plans for each territory focused on achieving territory sales goals, increasing market penetration, and strengthening business relationships? Developing new strategies for client engagement and retention? Providing ongoing professional development of the internal sales team through education, training, business planning and coaching related to the firm''s products and sales process? Designing, implementing and monitoring systems and reports regarding market share, opportunity size, penetration, average ticket size and other business metrics to assist regional and senior management to optimize sales? Cross-pollinating ideas and techniques in all territories? Tracking the activity and sales effectiveness of all internal salespeople via our CRM database? Performing quarterly performance evaluations with internal salespeople? Promoting teamwork between the internal team and other departments, such as Operations and Marketing? Coordinating with the Research Department to promote continuing education of internal sales staff? Training new sales staffREQUIREMENTS? Bachelor''s degree? 8+ years of experience in sales management with a wholesaling team? Extensive experience selling mutual funds in wirehouses (Merrill Lynch, UBS, MSSB) and independent broker dealers? Significant knowledge of alternative investments (managed futures and/or hedge funds)? Strong project-management skills? Series 7, 3, 63 or 66, and 24 licensesPREFERRED?
