In these roles, you will be partnering with field sales Account Executives and Marketing to generate demand and determine prospect needs. Play a part in effective territory planning, proactive account mapping and account penetration within assigned accounts.Key Areas of Responsibility:* Identify and qualify potential prospects through proactive outbound calls* Design account penetration and territory development strategies with field sales and execute tactical call plans* Conduct research on accounts by using Hoovers and other sources. Develop an understanding of the account's business issues and other relevant information* Assist in educating prospects about the data warehousing market and Teradata's solutions* Attend industry sales meetings* Conduct prompt follow-up activity to inquiries generated by marketing campaigns * Track marketing programs, provide feedback on quality of contacts, and provide input for new marketing programs* Maintain current knowledge of Teradata's products, partner product offerings, industry/product solutions, customer applications, competitive product differences as well as evolving strategiesSkills* Must be comfortable cold calling and qualifying leads with high energy * Must be able to communicate ideas and concepts through written and oral presentations to all levels of contacts, internal and external* Proven ability to establish rapport, develop, and maintain strong customer relationships* Has exceeded goals and quotas consistently in previous positions* Previous relevant experience with data warehouse or enterprise software/ service companies a plus* Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills* Strong sales and problem solving skills* Strong technology proficiency is required, to include LinkedIn, Google, Twitter, Hoovers, LexisNexis, company web pages, MS Office Suite, CRM, and Sales Automation tools* Strong organizational skills: planning, prioritizing and goal setting abilities* Team player* Fluent in EnglishAbility to travel as requiredBasic RequirementsMinimum of 2-3 years successful telephone based sales experience with complex software solutions. Preferred QualificationsBachelors Degree preferred.
