Our comprehensive portfolio of education products covers all science disciplines (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Earth Science, etc.) and includes emerging curriculum areas like STEM, biotechnology, forensics, and environmental technology. The Fisher Science Education Sales Intern will conduct sales calls with established customers and develop new business opportunities in the K-12 education market. The internship consists of weekly sales training and conducting sales calls in person and by phone. The primary goal for this position is to reach out customers to offer promotions, generate leads, increase awareness of the FSE product line, and record customer contact information. Territory includes San Diego County. Paid internship is for 14 weeks of the spring 2013 semester or winter/spring 2013 trimesters. * Performs sales calls at school sites with science teachers, science chairs, and other key decision-makers at assigned accounts, approximately 20 per week. * Performs telesales calls to science teachers, science chairs, and other key decision-makers, approximately 24 calls per week.* Records contact information and notes from both in person and direct sales calls in FSE Territory Excel database.* Identifies new school construction or renovation opportunities.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:* Currently attending a 4 year university* Reliable transportation with the ability to travel from site to site* Interested in a career in sales* Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills* Access to a computer with demonstrated PC skills in the use of Excel, Word, and an internet browserResponsible with strong organizational skills
