We are starting several new initiatives, and are looking for strong candidates to join our team.Kratos has an immediate need for a Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support web-based training (WBT) and instructor-led training projects for Government clients such as Department of Defense and Department of Education. The ideal candidate will be an active contributor in a collaborative team environment, and should be passionate about the quality of development work. The QA Specialist should have a strong background in quality assurance for training curriculum work products: e-learning storyboards, web-based lessons, and instructor-led print materials. This role will involve ongoing responsibilities in quality assurance process definition and documentation.The QA Specialist will be responsible for quality planning, implementation, testing and validation, quality reporting and metrics. This position will participate in several phases of the e-learning development lifecycle, including storyboard quality control; e-learning and application quality assurance for adherence to style guides; regression after QA reviews; and ensuring that all discrepancies have been addressed.The ideal applicant will be highly versatile, have meticulous attention to detail and quality, have excellent multitasking skills, and be conversant with web technologies. The QA Specialist should have experience working on a high-performing team as part of a team with programmers and graphic designers. This role requires someone that can handle organizing work and people while balancing meetings and deadlines. A core understanding of QA functions and hands on work is required.Responsibilities:* Quality-check web-based lessons for screen navigation and technical operation.* Identify and track quality issues* Responsible for quality planning, implementation, testing and validation, quality reporting and metrics* Monitor project work product compliance to standards, guidelines and requirements* Update project style guides and contribute to best practices and process documentation.* Ensure all edited documents and web products receive necessary technical reviews and approval.* Maintain project content in collaborative Web portal environment.Required Experience:Skills/Experience:* Three or more years of equivalent experience; e-learning industry a plus.* Experience with preparation of test plans, requirements traceability matrices, and bug reporting* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service skills.* Strong problem-solving and exceptional teamwork skills.* Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint a plus.* Experience in a web development environment* Intermediate experience with MS Office tools, particularly MS Excel* Experience working on Government projects, and with associated standards such as Section 508 and SCORM.Education:* Four-year college degree; consideration given for combination of education and work experience.Security Requirements:* Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
