In this role you will manage development, implementation and execution of food safety and regulatory compliance programs for Jack in the Box Inc., especially related to proteins.In this role you will:· Oversee supplier compliance with Jack in the Box Inc., primarily focusing on poultry· Develop Strategic business relationships with supplier-partners· Partner with cross functional departments and/or distribution centers to provide food safety and regulatory expertise for process/program improvement· Serve as the Food Safety Technical Lead for alternate supplier projects· Partner with Jack in the Box Inc. category teams to ensure a safe and consistent supply of ingredients and suppliers· Develop microbiological testing requirements and confirm critical control points for safe and consistent food product manufacture· Investigate and respond to alleged ingredient food safety and product quality issues· Keep abreast of new regulatory requirements and technologies affecting Jack in the Box Inc. productsRequirements:· Bachelor’s degree in Meat and/or Food Science, Microbiology, Animal Science, or related field; advanced degrees preferred· 5+ years of food safety and/or quality manufacturing experience and/or 5+ years of restaurant experience managing protein categories with suppliers· HACCP knowledge and experienceJack in the Box offers a competitive salary and benefits package that includes health, vision, dental, flexible spending, 401K and a wellness program.
