The engineer will primarily be responsible for implementation and maintenance of systems and security applications that support the Security program across all SNEI groups. The engineer will also work with other Security team members. This is a hand''s on position that requires someone who has had a great deal of security operations experience together with a very deep understanding of security principles, solution architecture, threat mitigation, and event response.Responsibilities:* Hands-on implementation of security devices and applications to monitor and review network, servers, and applications.* Manages and maintains security devices, systems and applications to ensure compliance with security controls.* Monitors security services, and drives strong security awareness and best practices as well as a security mind-set within the production and IT support teams.* Reviews firewall rules and host configurations, ensures timely patch management, and responds to security related helpdesk tickets.* Reduces overall operational risk, security exposure and vulnerabilities.* Evaluates new security technology & trends, and makes recommendations to strengthen our production environment.* Works with Security team members to propose new security patterns and standards to support the Security program.* Maintains clear communications, documentation, and timely support for security compliance activities.* Provides Level 3 support for critical security events and issues.* Provides on-call support as needed to ensure that all security events and compliance issues are effectively managed.Qualifications:* Bachelor''s degree in computer science or related field<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />* 5 years security experience* Experience managing and maintaining security solutions for large organizations and environments.* Experience in a broad range of information security disciplines.* Experience with a mixed Microsoft Windows and Linux environment.* Experience with Enterprise Linux Administration.* Experience with using command line tools.* Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills required.* Ability to identify, monitor and remediate security compliance issues.* Ability to maintain proficiency in current security compliance tools, techniques, and processes.* Ability to conduct firewall reviews and security reviews of servers.* Hands-on experience implementing Arcsight, Centrify, XEN, VMware, Sourcefire, Cisco, Juniper, and other enterprise security products, a plus.* Ability to complete assigned work on time and to specifications.* Ability to multi-task and work effectively/efficiently with little direct supervision.* Mature and confident personality.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* CISSP, CISA, CISM, or other certifications preferred.* Application development background in C , C#, and Java, a plus.Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
