Also required to teach new and established technical training courses to external customers and internal audiences. Main focus will be on instructor-led training, but some eLearning development may be required.Responsibilities - Interviews stakeholders and creates audience and needs analysis- Works with team to determine whether course should be in-class, online, or blended- Gathers information for course content via interviews with subject matter experts (SMEs), existing documents, cases, etc.- Leads and coordinates course design- Coordinates with Technical Writers to ensure that users get the information they need in the best possible way- Writes, designs, and develops course content, quizzes, lab and classroom exercises, student guides, job aids, etc.- Creates graphics for classroom presentations and for eLearning- Presents courses as a stand-up trainer to internal and external customers (domestic and international)- Determines facilities and equipment required to support courses- Coordinates course updates- Schedules classes in Learning Management System (LMS)Skills/Experience Required skills/experience:- Eight years experience teaching technical topics and/or developing technical course materials- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills- Excellent technical aptitude- Excellent interpersonal skills- Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and deal with ambiguity- Experience using adult learning theory to design courses and curricula- Ability to quickly learn and present technical information- Experience planning and facilitating engaging classroom activities- Ability to make learning interactive- Team player- Self-starter- Ability to travel, internationally and domestic (up to 25%)- Required software: Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Visio); SnagIt;PhotoShop or other graphics programPreferred skills/experience:- Background in wireless telecom (CDMA, WCDMA, WiFi, RF) and/or IP networking- Background in technical communication- Background in, or knowledge of, structured authoring, DITA, XML, etc.- Background in, or knowledge of, eLearning or blended learning- Ability to read and understand basic software code- Preferred software: Camtasia, Captivate, or other screen recording and video editing tool; Articulate Storyline or Studio, Quark XML Author, XMetal, or other XML authoring toolEducation Requirements The successful candidate will have a Bachelor''s degree in education, technical communications, or computer science (or other technical discipline), or equivalent experience.*LI-SRCKeywords
