In 2011, ADP was named to Forbes list of the top 100 most innovative companies in the world.* The Hearing Specialist prepares clients for unemployment hearings by reviewing the applicable evidence, developing a strategy, and consulting with the appropriate witnesses.* Performs as subject matter expert regarding unemployment insurance law.* Represents clients before administrative law judges or hearing referees, and often against attorneys in unemployment hearings via telephone.* Reviews initial determinations with clients and prepares appeal letters as necessary.* Updates UCS system with thorough documentation relevant to each case. Notifies clients of decisions and assist clients on taking appropriate action.* Prepares appeal letters to the board of review as necessary.* Initiate calls to agencies and clients. Document details of client calls for future reference.* Performs administrative tasks as needed to ensure hearing notices are scheduled timely and accurately (includes securing independent consultants for in-person hearings and creating consultant invoices).* Effectively argue a position or point of unemployment insurance law via cross examination, raising an objection, etc.* Provides training and guidance to less experienced Unemployment Compensation Services (UCS) associates regarding unemployment insurance law.* Conducts in a courteous and professional manner with clients and agencies.* Additional Projects and tasks based on business needs.Experience, Skills, Academic: * Knowledge in unemployment compensation regulations and proceedings is a must.* Must possess excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.* Demonstrated strong organizational, problem solving, and presentation skills required.* Keyboarding skills to input and access data quickly while using Microsoft office applications.* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking and detail oriented skills are a must.* Team focused and the ability to work well under pressure and occasionally more than 40 hrs a week.Benefits to a Career at ADP:At ADP, our associates are the key to our success!
