<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Business Development ManagerLocation: United States-California-San Francisco Bay Area - Foster CityOther Locations:Position OverviewAs a member of the Content and Distribution Group of Strategic Business Development, you will focus on identifying content for our PlayStation Network and negotiating revenue and strategically beneficial deals. Additionally you will liaise with various internal stakeholders such as legal, marketing and public relations and the family of companies.Principle Duties/Responsibilities* Understand our consumer needs and preferences* Continuously analyze the industry and market trends* Maintain insight of competitive forces* Identify of potential partners/alliances* Consider the strategic value to PlayStation and other Sony entities* Create economic and financial models to justify the content acquisition or deal* Develop and improve relationships with key business partners* Negotiate and close business agreements with key partners* Evangelize benefit of key business partnerships within SCEA and Sony Corp.Coordinate with the Legal department in:* Creation of contracts and other legal documents to support business development effortsInteract withthe Product Planning and Project Management group in:* Implementation of operational aspects of contracts/relationshipsCoordinate with the Marketing and PR team in:* Deal terms that require marketing or PR equipmentRequired Knowledge / SkillsCONTENT - Must have programming experience and be able demonstrate effective selection of content that could be measured via* New Subscribers* Measurement Metrics of GRPs* Gross ImpressionsPEOPLE: Strong people skills - the ability to meet with individuals from various levels of organizations and build long-term relationships.FINANCIAL: Must have strong Excel financial modeling skills. Expert in Forecasting, NPV, IRR analysis tools.SALES: Confident closer of deals. Must be able to show examples of taking several major content deals in the MVPD or Connected Devices industry from introduction to close.PROCESS: Relationship tracking - the ability to plan, track and report on the process of building relationships. The ability to manage existing accounts and grow them through existing and new business.TECHNICAL: Ability to understand console and network technology. An understanding of various media related technologies.PLANNING/IMPLEMENTATION: The ability to identify potential partners, define the value proposition and create a long-term relationship.INDUSTRY: A strong understanding of the television, telecommunication, gaming and Internet industries.Required Experience / Education:* At least 3 years of experience in business development or sales roles* A degree from a four-year college (i.e., BA, BS)Preferred Experience / Education:* At least 6 years of experience in business development or sales roles* An advanced degree or professional certification requiring formal training (i.e., MBA, MA, MS, Ph.D.,Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) is responsible for keeping PlayStation
