<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Dialog CoordinatorLocation: United States-California-San Francisco Bay Area - Foster CityOther Locations: The Dialog Coordinator monitors, and contributes to, the entire dialog process, from beginning to end, for specific Sony projects.Principle Duties / Responsibilities:* Work directly with internal producers to identify what the dialog needs are for each project, and help guide them towards solutions that fit their design and budgetary needs. * Read, edit, and format scripts. Help producers develop documentation such as character casting sheets and annotated scripts. * Identify celebrity talent that is worth pursuing directly, for a game character part, or as a reference for the final casting process.* Participate in the casting, recording, direction, editing, processing, and implementation of 1st Party (and occasional 3rd party) titles. Connect with production houses to get quotes for projects, make recommendations to producers regarding casting and performance directors. * Partner with performer union representatives to coordinate recording session signatory coverage.* Attend and participate in voice recording and mo-cap sessions to ensure both technical and aesthetic quality. * Use commercial and Sony proprietary tools as necessary to implement dialog into games and cinematics. * Review cinematics on a regular basis to ensure quality. Review internal builds of games to ensure quality throughout the project. * Work with various database tools and foreign dialog teams to ensure a smooth localization process.* Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external producers. Ability to work with producers on both long term schedules, and handle last minute changes with ease. Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate thoughts and opinions regarding specific in game dialog content.* A general understanding of, and experience in the entire voice production process, including script editing, casting, voice direction, audio editing, cinematic and in-game implementation techniques, and localization.* A solid understanding of industry standard software tools, including ProTools, Soundforge, WaveLab and others.* A very good understanding of audio processes and how they relate to dialog, including compression, limiting, and de-essing. * An understanding of how to apply specific processes to dialog to achieve specific effects, including equalization, distortion, and reverberation. Ability to listen to sound files and quickly and accurately identify problems with either editing or processing, and come up with the appropriate solutions. * Basic understanding of video editing, and how dialog fits into cinematics.* Understanding of multi-format surround formats and production techniques is a plus.* An understanding of game project schedules, and how the different stages of the dialog process need to fit into them. An ability to work with producers to develop and revise schedules regularly.* An awareness of the video game industry in general. Strong awareness of how dialog is handled in competitive products. Familiarity with voice direction techniques. Understanding of all the costs associated with voice over production, and an ability to negotiate prices with vendors.Required Experience / Education:* At least one year of experiencePreferred Experience / Education: * At least two years of experience * Bachelors degree or equivalent Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) is responsible for keeping PlayStation
