<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Graphics Tools EngineerLocation: United States-California-San Francisco Bay Area - Foster CityOther Locations:Sony Computer Entertainment US R&D requires a strong graphics engineer to help develop performance analysis and debugging tools that target the GPUs of our latest platforms. The tools are expected to be rock-solid, perform well, intuitive, and innovative. Engineer is expected to contribute to all aspects of the tool - from concept to design, implementation, documentation and support. These tools are key to yielding competitive games on our platforms and to increase the productivity of our game developers.Principle Duties / Responsibilities:* Develop and maintain SCE tools to assist in the development, debugging, and analysis of games, with an emphasis on the GPU aspects* Gain a strong understanding of the GPU performance characteristic of our platforms and instrument the tools to help developers leverage that performance* Provide second-level support to game developers; fixing bugs and giving advice as appropriate* Work with the documentation team to create user documentation* Work with the CPU PA/Debug team to ensure a strong integration between CPU and GPU tools* Work with the run-time API and low level interface teams to identify the required interfaces for the PA/Debug tools* Work with the compiler team to ensure that the correct debugging information is provided by the compilerRequired Knowledge / Skills:* Strong C and C  development skills.* Strong knowledge of modern GPUs and the graphics pipeline and shaders* Knowledge of game development, tools used, and the game development pipeline* Strong troubleshooting skills* Experience leading or managing small to medium size teams* Bachelor
