Working in a fast paced, highly collaborative environment the Senior Manager of Business Analytics will be responsible for providing business systems analysis support for all systems maintained by the Operations group. Reporting to the VP Operations, this technical and analytical role is involved in all aspects of systems development; including systems requirement gathering and analysis, user testing and training. They will lead cross-functional linked teams to address business. May provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems including company-wide, web-enabled solutions. This person will initiate the development of process improvements and then work collaboratively with impacted organizations.Principle Duties / Responsibilities:* Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.* Designs new system processes by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.* Improves systems and processes by studying current practices and designing modifications.* Recommends controls by identifying problems and developing improved procedures.* Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.* Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.* Provides references for users by overseeing the writing and maintaining of user documentation and training users.* Maintains user confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. * Coordinates cross-functional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.* Ability to understand existing data models/schemas and transform them into business requirements.* Perform analysis of business areas of responsibility to produce overall definitions of work-flow and discern needs currently filled using in-place or proposed solutions.* Define the business case for objectives of new projects, including identification of business needs.* Participate in business process engineering projects with the aim of continually improving the efficiency of the business.Required Experience / Education:* BA/BS in Information Systems/Business or some other related field * Strong milestone management and program management skill set.* Track record of customer service and business relationship development.* Must be able to quickly grasp technical concepts.* Attention to detail, organized, disciplined with process and policy focus.* Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and documentation skills. Strong technical writing skills including creation of Functional Specifications. Proven analytics and reporting skills (data mining, excel reporting, analysis).* Proven track record of employee development for a team of 4 to 6 employees.* Excellent inter-personal skills - must be able to adapt working style to the personalities and work styles of our partners.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with individuals at all levels.* 7 years
