We find great content for our products, and we also work with partner sites to syndicate our own Google products. From negotiating agreements to solving technical problems for partners, we''re in pursuit of gathering the world''s information.The role: Americas Platform SpecialistReach for new revenue-generating heights as a Sales Googler. Businesses that partner with Google come in all shapes, sizes and market caps, and no one Google advertising solution works for all. Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. You leverage your entrepreneurial drive to target, educate and persuade new customers to embrace Google''s latest advertising products and technologies. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, understand the details of individual campaigns and persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.As an Americas Platform Specialist, you will be responsible for working closely with "head" publishers to help them monetize their premium inventory. You will be responsible for growing Google''s share of platform solutions, specifically, rich media, optimization, audience solutions and other emerging products. The platform sales specialist will need to have a strong understanding of online publishers and have strong analytical skills. This person will not just sell but also be involved in defining the strategy of Google''s platform solutions. The platform sales specialist will work cross functionally across the publisher sales organization in accomplishing this mission.Responsibilities:* Build senior-level relationships with Publishers* Own the platform revenue number* Act as sales lead in commercializations* Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and identify risks to the business, taking preemptive action to mitigateMinimum qualifications:* BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience)* 8 years of experience in advertising, marketing, or media* Proven success in business development, client relationship and and solution-based selling* Deep cross-functional understanding of the online media business, video and television environmentsPreferred qualifications:* MBA* Demonstrated success at managing and working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships across departments* Must be willing to travel
