ResponsibilitiesMedia Project Management* Manage book-specific web sites and course management systems, interactive media development, and online projects in coordination with book development and production from signing through go-live/release to make media an integral part of the book story* Manage schedule coordination, budget tracking, product design and implementation, and tracking of project details* Manage cross-functional teams, including media vendors, authors and freelancers* Manage communication between diverse teams (editorial, production, media, product management, marketing) to ensure media products meet core teaching and learning challenges and are delivered on schedule and on budget* Facilitate the creation of media demos for class-testing, market seeding, and sales presentations as needed* Additional duties as assignedMedia Strategy* Work with marketing to prepare competitive analyses and product feature descriptions for media products* Additional duties as assigned* Work on market research and outreach projects in collaboration with editors and the market development team, including the creation of surveys and the planning of focus groups for assigned projects; includes writing questionnaires and follow-up questions* Evaluate potential media projects and competitive media offerings and advise acquisitions editors upon request* Support acquisitions editors in signings where media plays a critical a roleSales/Marketing Support* National sales meeting preparation support (review marketing materials, provide samples as necessary, create walkthrough scripts of media, etc.)* Review and provide feedback on multimedia references in brochures, prefaces, or back cover copy* Upon request, attend national conferences. Responsibilities may include: research competitor media, coordinate focus groups, demonstrate Pearson media, attend educational lectures on how media is being used in and out of classroom* Spend a minimum of one day each year on campus speaking directly with professors, attending lectures, meeting with students, etc.* Respond to queries within 24 hours by either providing a solution, or directing queries to the appropriate person* Resolve queries as they are escalated from sales reps, professors, as well as Customer Technical SupportTasks include:* Write media plans, including key website and project planning documents, launch memos, and multimedia asset spreadsheets* Create Requests For Proposals (RFP) and solicit bids from vendors* Set up, own, and monitor budgets and schedules for media projects* Hire and manage cross-functional teams, including media vendors, content-providers, freelancers, full-service project management vendors and quality assurance vendors as needed, and write freelancer contracts and agreements* Facilitate communicati
